1st post
My topic for this blog assignment is about the influence of Rap/Hip Hop Music on Youth. I'm picking this topic because I think it will be very interesting to research and I will learn alot about it that I don't already know. There are a couple thing that I already know about the topic. I know that alot of today's music is filled with explicit content including curse words, sex, drugs, women, and violence. This information can corrupt a youth's mind and life. I hope to learn the age group that is most affected by this music. Also I would find out the percent of youth listen to today's music, the artists who have a bad influence on the youth, percent of youth who change their personality due to today's music and much more. This topic pretty much relates to most people from parents to anyone.

Hi Matt! Your post raises a couple of issues/questions that you'll want to consider as you move forward in your research. First, what positive influences have this genre of music had for youth? Second, when you write "youth," what age bracket do you see? Third, how can more clearly define your audience? As you pick a specific audience, you'll be able to keep your research focused according to your purpose and who you're writing to.
